WalkInCheckIn manages checked-in walk-in visits. Keep future appointments in your existing booking calendar and coordinate arrivals at the front desk. There is no automatic calendar sync or appointment-time reservation.
A booking record in the current product represents a walk-in visit moving through waiting, assignment, service and completion. It does not reserve a future appointment slot.
Clients can check in at a kiosk or on their phone, and staff can add an arriving client. Those visits appear on the same live queue.
If you also take appointments, retain your existing calendar. Your team must coordinate availability and arrival priority; WalkInCheckIn does not import appointments or automatically order clients by booked time.
| Capability | WalkInCheckIn | Your appointment calendar |
|---|---|---|
| Walk-in arrivals | Live queue, daily ticket and visit status after check-in. | Use your calendar provider's features and front-desk process. |
| Future appointment times | Not included. A visit record does not reserve a time slot. | Continue to book future appointments here. |
| Arrival priority | Staff coordinate the walk-in queue and assignments. | Staff consult booked times separately; there is no automatic sync. |
| Visit progress | Waiting, assigned, on-chair, completed, cancelled and no-show statuses. | Appointment statuses remain with your calendar provider. |
| Staff assignment | Assign checked-in visits to available, linked staff. | Future staff availability is managed separately. |
| Reporting | Reports cover the visits recorded in WalkInCheckIn. | Appointments not entered as visits remain outside WalkInCheckIn reports. |
A dedicated appointment calendar remains necessary if clients book ahead. WalkInCheckIn supplies the live queue for walk-in visits.
